2007
Dry Riesling Bright and intense aromas of Asian pear, lime
blossom and mineral notes. The pear and lime notes extend through
onto the palate in this relatively full bodied style of Riesling.
The crisp acidity integrates well with the wine's purity and mineral
undertones; resulting in a dry and persistent finish. |
2007
Riesling A floral and perfumed nose of tangerines and stonefruit.
While initially moderately sweet on the palate, the bright acidity
quickly balances the sweetness (47 g/L) giving the wine tremendous
presence and length. Light and delicate (10.0% alcohol) yet mouthcoating
and powerful with considerable aging potential. |

Chardonnay Elms Carefully hand harvested in mid-late March,
whole bunch pressed followed by wild yeast fermentation entirely
in stainless steel tanks, preserves the primary fruit flavours.
Refreshing and uncomplicated by oak on the nose or palate, there
is sufficient complexity from the wild yeast fermentation and lees
ageing to support the pure fruit expression. Lighter and more delicate
than our more grown up Chardonnay, it finishes clean, fresh and
long. A pretty and delicate Chardonnay that is more European than
New World. |
2007
Chardonnay Grilled bread, citrus and a hint of white peach
are apparent on the nose. Rich and viscous yet at the same time
refreshingly crisp, the palate is one of the most harmoniously balanced
we have seen in our chardonnay: cream textured citrus in a frame
of hazelnut and minerals. Finishes with good persistence, clean
and very pure.

Pinot Noir A very floral, perfumed, classic Pinot Noir nose:
fruit, violets, spice and bramble, with nothing in excess. Creamy
and weighty across the mid-palate, very flowing, almost juicy sweetness
with just enough dusty tannins kicking in to complement a dark finish
with hints of espresso and chocolate. Complete, complex and perhaps
close to the ultimate expression for a Felton Road Pinot Noir.

Pinot Noir Cornish Point The nose is fairly closed this
early in the wine’s life, but it is already clear that it
will brim with violets, exotic spice and rich florals as the wine
settles down. The palate is deep, viscous and voluptuous, with dark
cherry, blackberry leaf and raspberry notes. The finish adds sweet
chocolate and mocha to the mix with a touch of chewy tree sap and
toast. Simply gorgeous: everything we love about Cornish Point.

Pinot Noir Block 3
The classic signature of Block
3: crushed herb and chocolate, leads the nose as well as the palate
of this wine where raspberry, cherry and boysenberry can be detected
supporting the mid-palate. It is both rich yet transparent in the
mouth, serious and focussed, with crisp minerality and great energy,
driving the flavours through to an exceptionally long finish of
rich chocolate mocha soaked in raspberry with earthy depths and
toasted highlights. A definitive Block 3.

2006 Pinot Noir Calvert Brilliant mid garnet colour. A slightly muted but pure nose of florals and violets with red and dark mixed fruit notes. Great clarity and purity on the palate: rich, concentrated fruit, but the purity lets the nuances sing through. An elegant and clean finish with well integrated tannins. This is a wine destined to grow steadily in the bottle over the next five years; opening and blossoming as it goes.
