2000 Pinot Noir Block 5

Tasting Date: 21 February 2006

At the moment I like the straight Pinot more than the "block" wines. Block 5 is drinking well right now with the sappy stem character a constant counterpoint to the ripe fruit. The extra fruit richness in this over the straight Pinot gives a sweet / sour aspect which isn't quite integrated to me. Good wine showing well, though. Interesting to see how this one plays out.
