2014 Riesling Bannockburn

2014 Riesling Bannockburn

Delicate aromas of ginger, tangerine and tropical florals. An immediate burst of sweetness on the palate (59g/L) coats every corner in delicious tropical fruit flavours. The crisp acid finish and the low alcohol (9.0%) provide a unique balance in this thrilling and exacting wine. The residual sweetness can easily become rather secondary when focusing on the sheer drinkability and poise.

The 2014 Riesling has a great core of lemon / lime aromas with a herbal undercurrent and subtle notes of wet pebbles and white pepper. The light bodied, medium-sweet palate offers rasping acidity to cut through the intense flavors, finishing long and steely. 90+ Points.

Bob Campbell MW, Oct/Nov 2015

Flavoursome Riesling with typical lime, floral and mineral flavours. Purity and lightness are two distinguishing features together with an appealing sweet/acid tension that is more pronounced than Felton Road Dry Riesling. 95 points, 5 Stars.
